Hey church!

Did you reflect on our 2 questions from last Sunday?

 

o         What are the things you pursued in 2013 that you hoped to achieve? What were you looking to personally boast about from 2013?

o         What if God wanted you to have thorns in the flesh to be the highlights of your 2013 so that you could know his grace and power rested on you?

 

This coming Sunday we will continue where we left off last Sunday: trying to make sense of 2013’s weaknesses, hardships, troubles, trials, pains and others thorn in the flesh. We will continue and expand on the idea of God making our thorn in the flesh perfect.

 

Hopefully this will help us put 2014 in perspective and get ready for it!

Let's start the year in worship!

As the end of 2013 approaches what is your personal review of 2013? Any highlights or things to remember 2013 by?

This coming Sunday our message will be based on 2 Cor 12:5-10. It is part of a much larger passage, so pre-read chapter 11 and 12 before Sunday if you can. See you then!

Dec 22nd: Advent week 4 @ MCBC

Hey church!

Have you been meditating on your Advent reflection questions for week 3?

  • Do you realize your greatest possession is your faith in Jesus? [1]
  • How is the light of Jesus brighter than all other lights?
  • What will you do to witness about the light of Christ to your family, relatives and friends during the holidays?

 

This week we continue our advent series to reflect on the meaning of Jesus becoming flesh. More precisely, we want to reflect on the light becoming flesh. Jesus came to the Earth to add onto his divine glory: humanity. This is the greatest miracle, act of love and encouragement to us.

 

This is a great way to end our Advent series before we gather again at church on December 24th, 7:30pm for our Christmas Eve service at church.
