Gospel Sunday July 28th @ MCBC!!

Hey church!

Remember this Sunday is Gospel Sunday in the basement @ 9:30am. Bring a friend, share breakfast and the Word of God, and leave with the Gospel!! 😀

Psalm 27:4

One thing I ask from the Lord,

    this only do I seek:

that I may dwell in the house of the Lord

all the days of my life,

to gaze on the beauty of the Lord

and to seek him in his temple.

Psalm 27:8-9

My heart says of you, “Seek his face!”

Your face, Lord, I will seek.

Do not hide your face from me,

    do not turn your servant away in anger;

    you have been my helper.

Do not reject me or forsake me,

    God my Savior.

What is the biggest/greatest gift you have ever given? Why was it the biggest/greatest?

What is the biggest/greatest gift you have ever received since you were born? Why was it the biggest/greatest?

What is the ultimate greatest gift for anybody? Why? The answer might not be as obvious as you think…

Sunday July 14th @ MCBC: UNITE!!!

Hey church!!!

This Sunday we start a new mini-series on the Church and Unity.

Acts 2 is a famous passage of church history. It is also very rich in meaning when we look at church unity. Therefore it is fitting to start our series with this powerful account of the birth of the church and the amazing events surrounding those days.

Get ready for some enabling of the Spirit through this series! I expect to see tongues of fire everywhere Sunday morning so avoid too much hair spray in your hair!!!

Sunday July 7th @ MCBC:

Hey church!

Who do you meet during your Summer or when traveling?

One of the things I love to do on vacation (more than hunting down places to eat) is visit other churches. I don’t know if it is a pastor thing but I find it so interesting to see how others worship God, see different church buildings, etc. It’s always such a privilege to be welcomed in different communities of faith and be raising worship hands together with “strangers”. It’s always grounding…no matter where we are and what we do during our vacations.

This week we finish off our mini-series on Summer Discipleship Reflections and I’ll be preaching on 1 Peter 2:4-10. I hope you’ll be challenged yet again to live up your discipleship this Summer 2013!! Summer is still early. Let’s make it a good one for God!
