June 23rd: Reflecting on discipleship, vacations and the Summer ahead @ MCBC this Sunday

Hey church!

The Be clan is back from vacation and we’re looking forward to worship our Saviour with you this coming Sunday! 😀

This Sunday we start a new mini-series on discipleship (gotta love our 2013 church theme!). As my family has just returned from our vacation and as Summer has officially started on June 21st it is fitting to think about our personal discipleship during our vacation and the Summer season ahead of us. I’ll be preaching from Luke 14:25-33 and also sharing some reflections from our recent family vacation.

Hopefully the Word and my reflections of it can help you learn some things for your own discipleship throughout your upcoming vacations and Summer. May our worship through the Word of God this coming Sunday help us have a Summer season of great spiritual growth and rest!

May 26th: Pressing on @ MCBC this Sunday…

Hey church!

Have you ever been pushed to your physical, mental, emotional, relational or stomach/digestive limits? Ever been in a situation when you thought you could not go any further or progress anymore? A situation where the goal seemed so closed but at the same time so far?

This Sunday we’re privilege to look into Paul’s words in Phil 3:10-16 and once again learn from him about the meaning of discipleship. I’m looking forward to worship through songs, prayers and the Word once again with you guys! See y’all then!

May 19th: this Sabbath @ MCBC….

Hey church!

Our days on Earth are counted. We might think we are running out of time or will be running out of time to do all we should be doing before our last breath. However, God works all good things in his time. Thus our Sabbaths need the perspective that only in the companionship of days made good by God do our Sabbaths count. This also implies the companionship of good “co-sabbathers”.

This is already our last sermon on Sabbath. Although it is the end of the series I hope your growth and sabbath building habits will continue on. Hopefully this series has pushed you to obey Sabbath more diligently and you will soon see the difference in your faith, life and priority-setting.

Shalom!
