April 13th: Hosanna! Hosanna! at MCBC this Sunday…

Hey church!

This coming Sunday will be Palm Sunday and it marks the beginning of the Holy Week, when Jesus entered Jerusalem. It is the glorious beginning of a week that would become even more glorious as we get to Good Friday and Easter Sunday.

Why do you think so many people converged on the road where Jesus was and shout “Hosanna! Hosanna!”? What were they looking for? What did they see when they looked at Jesus riding on a donkey?

How are you looking at Jesus as we celebrate Him this Lent and as we prepare to commemorate the Cross and the resurrection on Easter Sunday?

Gear up for worship!

PS. On Sunday we will be collecting a freewill offering for Wendy's Intervarsity Internship + Montreal Urban Partnership mission, and Kyle, Grace and Ivan’s Montreal Urban Partnership mission. They need financial partners to do things for the Kingdom that the rest of us may not be able to do ourselves, so be open to the Spirit's guiding and prepare an offering if the Spirit moves you to. Please note that this is a freewill offering and tax receipts will not be issued.

April 6th: Holy Reading @ MCBC…

The Lord Jesus, on the night he was betrayed, took bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, “This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.” In the same way, after supper he took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of me.” For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until he comes.

So then, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of sinning against the body and blood of the Lord. Everyone ought to examine themselves before they eat of the bread and drink from the cup.

March 30th: This Sunday @ MCBC

Hey church!

This Sunday Pastor James Yang from the Montreal Korean United Church will be preaching at our church. If you were at our Revival Meeting 2013 then you'll remember his church joined us for the Revival Meeting and pastor James co-preached with me. It's a pleasure to have him back and encourage us into Lent through God's word!

Get ready to worship!
