Hey church!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Our brother and friend Todd Shaffer is looking forward to worship with us and share God's word to us this coming Sunday. He has entitled his sermon: Simeon's 11 o' Clock<\/span><\/span> Number, based on the scripture from Luke 2:28-35. Here is what he sent me to describe his message. <\/p>\n

"The closing event of the nativity story centers on an elderly priest named Simeon who receives the infant Jesus at the Temple. \u00a0He presents two short blessings which complete a profound nativity portrait of the Messiah and introduce some surprising details to what this child will achieve in God's plan of redemption and how he will be received by the nation."<\/i><\/p>\n
